TMN Partners with Legal Advocates
If you are transgender, non-binary, queer, gender non-conforming, or questioning and in a situation requiring legal advice, assistance, or representation and do not have the ability to pay for these services, or require a specific type of lawyer who is affirming and inclusive, please complete our Trans Legal Matters Client Intake Form here.
*Persons of color, immigrants, former inmates, sex workers, disabled individuals, & youth get first priority. Only a limited amount of applicants will be selected to receive assistance each month, all others will be given local referrals to find an appropriate lawyer, as we do not like to leave any client empty handed.

Trans Legal Matters - Project Details
Trans Legal Matters Objective:
Trans Legal Matters seeks to meet the legal needs of transgender and gender non-conforming people across the U.S. by partnering with legal volunteers in all 50 states.
Trans Legal Matters Project Volunteers:
Volunteers are encouraged to apply to assist with this outreach. TMN does have several volunteer positions available. Please click here to explore volunteer opportunities.
TMN intends to partner with lawyers and paralegals, in order to provide legal services for clients to assist with the following:
*Client advocacy and representation (gender-identity based discrimination, family law matters, immigration, LGBTQ based discrimination, employment matters, criminal charges such as crimes of survival)
*Access to the platform for connecting clients with legal advocates and representation in order for clients to have pro-bono legal services.
Partnership Intentions:
*Ensuring BIPOC, youth, low income, sex workers, immigrants, and former inmates have access to a lawyer appropriate to their situation or legal matter.
*All legal documents reviewed and ensured a common language and cohesive message.
*Ongoing legal referrals for current and future Trans Legal Matters project clients.
